Invisible
1. First off let me tell you about the main character Dougie Hanson. Dougie is someone who is shy and won’t do things so basically an outsider. He has a best friend and which happens to be his only friend and his name is Andy Morrow. Andy was the complete opposite of Dougie. Andy is Athletic, popular, and an outgoing person yet him and Dougie have things to talk about. They talk about everything even if they only talk at night through their windows since they live next door to each other. The one thing they will never talk about or even bring up would be the thing that happened at the Tuttle Place three years ago. Dougie and Andy have a very close friendship even when Andy isn’t there for Doughie most of the time. Andy makes Dougie stalk this girl named Melissa Haverman and making a bomb threat via telephone. When Dougie's psychologist finds out that he hasn’t been going to his sessions. Dougie has to remember what happened at the Tuttle Place and says that Andy is no longer alive because of fire they accidentally set to the house. In the end, he sets his prized possession on fire which is his railroad miniature town without knowing he was going to be caught in the fire and having to go to the hospital. Andy visits him at the hospital but then leaves and says he’ll be back. However, it is unsure if Dougie is alive or dead since he is at the Madham Burn Unit. He says that the hospital smells like burning plastic. Dougie wants to find his grandfather and see if he’s mad about the railroad town. Dougie did not die from the fire he was just hospitalized.

2. The author wrote this novel about a 17 year old boy and him dealing with his inner demons. Going just based off of the name of the novel what would you think it was about. Invisible it seems like it would be about a person who is an outsider and doesn’t have any friends. Well the main character of this book is just like that but he does have one friend which is also his best friend. The novel is really about a teenager and his friend accidentally setting a house on fire and then coming back to one of them and harming him.

3. I chose this book because the name Invisible it’s so mysterious and I like stuff like that. The thing that caught my eye was the name as said previously and the front cover. People say don’t judge a book by it’s cover but I did and it turned out great. The book was a good book and I enjoyed it. What kept me reading was probably because it’s telling a story about someone’s life and I enjoy hearing about someone’s life.

4. I did find this book realistic because it’s true teenage boys want to have an adventure and they are reckless. Them going to an a banded house sounds like something I would want to do. The part of them accidentally setting the house on fire doesn’t sound like me because I take precautions and try to be as safe as I can.

5. The tone of this book would have to be dramatic because it has scenarios that are over the top. Things like this can happen in real life but to stay safe just be very cautious but still have fun.
